OUR HISTORY
Our company is a private company established in March 1995.
The Riga glass factory Sarkandaugava was established in 1888 as a factory with 39 employees.
Until 1926 the plant produced glass containers, glasses and medical utensils.
In 1926-1931 the company installed a continuously operating furnace and three Furko-type machines for the window glass production.
In 1957 - 1972, the Riga glass factory Sarkandaugava was reconstructed, workshops for the production of window glass and batch were built, production of mosaic facing tiles was established. Most of the raw materials needed for production were imported from the Soviet Union, where most of the produced products exported after.
The Riga glass factory Sarkandaugava, as a glass factory, ceased to exist in 1999.
The plant often changed its name.
From 1944 to 1945 it was the Riga sheet factory Emolips,
From 1945 to 1947 - the Riga glass factory Sarkandaugava,
From 1990 to 1996 - the Riga State Glass Factory of Sarkandaugava, and
From 1996 to 1999, the City Enterprise "Riga State Glass Plant Sarkandaugava".
In 1999 SIA RCPF acquired the plant from the Latvian Privatization Agency.
Until 2002, we were looking for ways to revive the plant, as glass factory.
But, cause of the impossibility of this, began to use the accommodation as commercial real estate.
We are currently in search of new business directions to which we could apply our experience and resources.
